Stephen Rose Gilkyson (1832 – 1892) was a Union Army officer that served in the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. He commanded first the 6th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry as a lieutenant colonel (most notably at the Battle of Gettysburg) and the 40th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry as a Colonel.
