The Battle of Farmington was fought October 7, 1863 in Farmington, Marshall County, Tennessee. It ended in a Confederate victory. This engagement is not to be confused with another "Battle of Farmington" at Farmington, Mississippi on May 9, 1862.
It involved Major General Joseph Wheeler and Brigidier General George Crook.
